For this project we organised an array of subcontractors from scaffolders and steel fitters to soda blasters and additional roofers for the 16m sheets.

We have removed the existing burned down roof and steel purlins from the site, dealing with very challenging access as the bar is situated in a very busy shopping complex. we also had the challenge of removing the roof and purlins while the plastic wrap was in service to keep the interior of the building weatherproof over the following months. this meant all these tasks were carried out by hand without the help of a crane the fit the new steelwork.

We also ran a team of sada blasters to strip the ash and charing from the concrete walls and steel portal inside the building, dealing with the burnt smell and preparing the surfaces for their new fireproof coating.

We then installed a brand new roof in Diamond’s DB955 commercial profile, new parapet cap flashings and a seamed back tray system to waterproof the new services installed on the roof.
