For this project, we arrived on site and completed our pre-start paperwork, removed the existing butynol membrane that had been ripped and split open from outdoor furniture. We then cleaned the substrate, installed our primer, base coat, and fibreglass membrane, followed by a UV-resistant top coat with a hardening agent to ensure the surface would be durable and easy to clean for the client. This system utilises Hitchens Trafficguard membrane and a 360GSM fibreglass to construct the surface of the decks. The fibreglass membrane is also very appealing, as once it is installed, there are no laps or visible joints, giving a uniform finish with no seams that can peel away from foot traffic using the space.
